Understanding the Sampling Process
The sampling stage is a key step in developing a successful swimwear collection. It allows you to review fit, construction, fabrics, colors, trims, and overall design before moving into bulk production.
The process begins by requesting a sampling quotation for your collection. Once you are ready to proceed, sampling starts after a 50% deposit is received. Payment can be made by bank wire or PayPal. Our team then begins developing your samples based on the designs, specifications, fabrics, and trims you provide.
What We Need Before Sampling Begins
Before diving into the specifics, let's explore the key aspects of the swimwear sampling process:
Design Specifications
To begin sampling efficiently, provide clear design references such as sketches, photos, reference samples, or tech packs. The more detailed the information, the easier it is for our team to understand your expectations and develop the sample accurately.
Confidentiality and Intellectual Property
We treat your designs, technical files, prints, and brand information as confidential throughout the development and production process. Our Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) is available to help protect your intellectual property and support a clear, professional working relationship.
Sample Sizinging Recommendations
We highly recommend developing the first sample in one size only. This makes it easier to review the fit and make any necessary adjustments before grading the design into additional sizes.
Our standard size range is 2XS to 3XL. For larger sizes, please contact us. We normally work from our own size chart, but we can also develop your collection using your brand’s size specifications if you already have them.
Hardware Supply for Swimwear
We can supply standard swimwear hardware such as rings, slides, hooks, stoppers, pads, and eyelets. If your designs require custom hardware, such as engraved logo tags or custom-shaped components, you may send these items to us for use during sampling and production. If you are looking for a specific type of hardware, send us a reference image and our team can check availability through our supplier network.
Fabric Sourcing
Choose from our available solid-color swimwear fabrics in a range of colors and specifications, including sustainable options. If you already have a specific fabric for your collection, you can also send your own material for sampling and production.
Custom Printed Fabrics
For custom printed swimwear, you can choose from our range of printable swimwear fabrics, including sustainable options. Please provide your artwork as a 300 DPI file or vector file. Before printing begins, we will prepare a mock-up for your approval so you can review the scale, placement, and proportions of the design.
Sampling Process Breakdown
Sample Development: CMT and Pattern Making
Sample development includes pattern making, cutting, sewing, and finishing. From Cut, Make, Trim (CMT) to pattern development, each stage is handled according to your design specifications so the sample can be evaluated for fit, construction, and overall appearance.
Sample Evaluation
Once the sample is completed, we will send you detailed photos for review. Images are provided from the front, side, and back so you can assess the overall fit, proportions, construction, and design details before confirming the next step.
Revision Process
If revisions are required after your review, we will make the requested adjustments at no additional cost as long as the original pattern and design direction remain substantially unchanged. Once the sample has been approved and delivered, additional changes may be chargeable. In most cases, revisions take approximately 7 to 10 days.
Final Approval and Shipping
Once the sample is approved, we will issue the invoice for the remaining balance. After payment is received, the samples can be shipped by DHL Express. Typical delivery time is approximately 4 to 5 days, depending on the destination.
